Duncan, Robert Kennedy

Duncan, Robert Kennedy (1868–1914)

Canadian-born US chemist and writer. He went to Paris to report on the Curies' work and became a popular interpreter of science. He created a system of industrial fellowships at universities to mesh academia with the needs of industry.

He was born in Brantford, Ontario and went to the USA about 1892. The most notable industrial fellowship is the one he set up at the University of Pittsburgh with help from the Mellon family.
