Duncan de Cerisantis, Mark (died 1648)

Swedish writer of Latin verse. His ‘Carmen Gratulatorium’ is a poem on the marriage of Charles I of England and Henrietta Maria 1625.

He was Swedish ambassador to France 1645, but renounced this position and his Protestant religion and went to Rome. In 1647 he accompanied the 5th Duke of Guise to Naples as his secretary. He fought under Guise in his attempt to take Sicily from Spain and was mortally wounded in battle.
