Dunleer

Village in County Louth, Republic of Ireland, 14 km/9 mi north of Drogheda; population (2002) 1,800. It has an electrical-goods and engineering industry. To the northwest 3 km/2 mi is Dromin, with a medieval church on the site of a monastery founded by St Finnian, and an Anglo-Norman motte and bailey.

John Foster, the last speaker of the Irish House of Commons, is buried in the Protestant graveyard here.

Based in Dunleer, Ireland, Glen Dimplex is a leading worldwide manufacturer of electric heating and domestic appliances.
It's not known if any major deals will be signed at the event, Derbyshire says, but two local companies, Next Generation Consulting and Lucidia Studios are already working with a Dunleer, Ireland firm, Wren Innovations, to develop flash map technology for various business and industry applications.
