Dutch barn

A type of barn common on modern farms. It is a tall, open-sided building most often used on farms for the storage of hay and straw. It is usually made of steel or concrete. Designed to allow exposure to the air while giving protection from the rain, the Dutch barn has become a popular alternative to the thatched stack or rick.
