Duvall, Gabriel (1752-1844)

American Supreme Court justice. He served in the US House of Representatives. He was a judge on the Maryland Supreme Court and President Jefferson's comptroller of the treasury before President Madison appointed him to the US Supreme Court.

He was born in Prince George's County, Maryland and he fought in the American Revolution before going into government.
