Dvúr Králové

Town in eastern Bohemia, in the Czech Republic, on the River Elbe, 100 km/63 mi northeast of Prague; population (1991) 17,000. Industries include brewing, milling, and textiles.

In 1817 the controversial Königinhof manuscripts were discovered here. Said to be 13th-century Czech poems, they were proved to be forgeries by the nationalist politician Tomáš Masaryk.
