Dwarka| Coastal town in Gujarat state, western India; population (1991) 27,800. Dwarka is one of Hinduism's most sacred pilgrimage sites, being one of the four Holy Abodes as well as one of the seven Holy Places. Krishna set up his capital here after fleeing from Mathura. |
