Michael Schubert, PT, PhD, recipient of a 2000 Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) II scholarship and a 2005 research grant, recently coauthored an article, "Recovery of Dynamic Visual Acuity in Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction," with Susan J Herdman, PT, PhD; Courtney D Hall, PT, PhD; Vallabh E Das, PhD; and Ronald J Tusa, MD, PhD.
The Foundation Board of Trustees recently awarded a 1-year, $40,000 research grant to Michael C Schubert, PT, MS, PhD, The Johns Hopkins University, for his project, "Mechanisms of Gaze Stability in Recovery of Dynamic Visual Acuity.
A model was developed using initial Dynamic Gait Index and dynamic visual acuity scores to predict fall risk reduction.
