Business-to-business electronic commerce site. E-marketplaces are often closed communities or industry trading groups, such as AutoXchange (set up by car manufacturers Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler) and GlobalNetXchange (set up by major retailers Sears of the USA, Sainsbury of the UK, Metro of Germany, and Carrefour of France).
