Esk

River in Dumfries and Galloway unitary authority, southwest Scotland, formed by the confluence of the Black and the White Esk in Eskdalemuir, and flowing 56 km/93 mi to the Solway Firth at Sarkfoot Point near Gretna Green.

We are residing in the secluded village of Ruswarp, on the banks of the Esk, about two miles inland from Whitby.
They run right up the Esk and die away in the curve of the valley.
