Eagan

Town in Dakota County, southeast Minnesota; population (1990) 47,400. It is situated on the Minnesota River, and is a suburb 14 km/9 mi south of St Paul. Lying to the southeast of Minneapolis–St Paul International Airport, it is one of the fastest-growing communities in the area and has experienced substantial commercial development. A part of Fort Snelling State Park is in the town boundaries.
