Eagle Hut, The

YMCA centre for US troops in London during World War I, opened 3 September 1917.

The centre was staffed by over 800 voluntary workers and provided beds and meals for visiting troops as well as entertainment and sight-seeing trips. It remained open until 25 August 1919.
