East Dereham

Market town in Norfolk, England, 26 km/16 mi northwest of Norwich; population (2001) 15,650. There are iron foundries, malthouses, and factories making clocks, furniture, and commercial trailers.

The poet William Cowper lived in the town from 1796 and is buried there. The author George Borrow was born in East Dereham in 1803.
