East Grinstead

Town in West Sussex, England, 35 km/22 mi north of Brighton; population (2001) 26,200. East Grinstead is situated in the Sussex Weald.

Sackville College school was founded in the town in 1617, and St Mary's Convent school in 1865. St Swithin's church (18th–19th century) is constructed of local sandstone.
