East Haven

Town in New Haven County, south-central Connecticut; population (1990) 26,100. It is located to the southeast of New Haven. It has a mixture of truck gardening, industry (oil refining), commerce, coastal resorts, and residences. Its villages include Foxon and Momauguin, a resort on Long Island Sound. Tweed-New Haven Airport lies along the border with New Haven, and Lake Saltonstall forms much of the town's east boundary.
