Eaton, John (1935- )

US composer. He studied with Roger Sessions and Milton Babbitt at Princeton, and taught at Indiana University from 1970. His works use microtones, serial techniques, and synthesizer called syn-ket; his operas include Ma Barker (1957), Heracles (1968), Myshkin (1973), The Tempest (1985), and The Reverend Jim Jones (1989).
