Eatontown

Town in Monmouth County, east-central New Jersey; population (1990) 13,800. It is located 5 km/3 mi south of Red Bank. Primarily residential and in a truck farming region, Eatontown has an economy that is largely dependent on the local US Army base at Fort Monmouth, and on light manufacturing.
