Later she created parts in Miriam Mahdaviani's Correlazione, Damian Woetzel's jazzy Ebony Concerto, and Peter Martins's Mozart Piano Concerto, and she continued to add new roles from the Balanchine repertoire.
John Taras took Stravinsky's three-movement Ebony Concerto, 1945, for Clarinet and Swing Band and produced a theatrically savvy piece (1960) that skillfully fused the attitude of Broadway show dancing and the basic ballet vocabulary.
Other Cranko ballets on display during the festival are Onegin, Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, and a mixed program of Brouillards, Salade, Ebony Concerto, and Jeu de Cartes.
