Edmunds, George Franklin

Edmunds, George Franklin (1826–1919)

US senator. A lawyer, he went to the US Senate as a Republican for Vermont where he was the author of the Civil Rights Act of 1875 and the co-author of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

He was born near Richmond, Vermont.
