Edwards, Jonathan David (1966– )| English athlete who won the triple jump title at the 1995 World Championships in Göteborg, Sweden, with a world record leap of 18.29 m/60 ft. In 1995 he was voted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and was also awarded an MBE. He won gold at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and again at the World Championships in Edmonton, Canada, in 2001. |
