Eichenberg, Fritz (1901-1990)

German-born US illustrator and printmaker. After studying graphics in Leipzig, he settled in New York City, and taught at the Pratt Graphics Center (1956-63). He is known for his scathing socio-political wood engravings and illustrations, such as Beastiarium Juvenile (1965).

He was born in Cologne.
