Eindhoven

City in North Brabant province, the Netherlands, on the River Dommel, 30 km/19 mi southeast of Tilburg; population (2006 est) 209,200. Industries include the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Philips Electronics (founded in 1891) had its headquarters here before moving to south Amsterdam.
