Electronic Frontier Foundation

US organization that lobbies for the extension of civil liberties and constitutional rights into cyberspace. It was founded by former Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow and Lotus founder Mitchell Kapor in 1991 after a series of US raids on suspected computer hackers. Its offices are in San Francisco.
