| Tokyo, Japan, Sept 6, 2005 - (JCNN) - The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) has developed a fully automated two-dimensional electrophoresis system in collaboration with the Tokyo University of Technology, Sharp, Toppan Printing and Astellas Pharma. The eTag reporters are identified by capillary electrophoresis using a capillary-based DNA sequencer. The 3100 Genetic Analyzer, priced in the same range as the 377 DNA Sequencer, is a 16-capillary electrophoresis system that enables customers to perform both sequencing and fragment analysis on a system designed for medium-to-high-throughput needs. |
