Interaction between an organization and its customers. This incorporates the entire customer experience, from the first enquiry about a product to the after sales service. Customer service is an area where companies can gain a competitive advantage over rivals. The competence and attitude of sales staff, product delivery, complaints handling, and after sales service are all areas that affect the customer's perception of, and as a result, loyalty to, a company.
