Elming, Poul (1949– )

Danish tenor. He sang baritone roles with the Jutland Opera from 1979, then appeared at Stockholm from 1984 as Posa, Mozart's Count, and Eugene Onegin. He re-trained as a tenor and sang Parsifal at Copenhagen in 1989, a role he also played at Bayreuth, in 1992 and 1994. He appeared as Siegmund at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, in 1991 and 1994, and sang Erik, Max and Lohengrin in Berlin, Vienna and Mannheim.
