Emory

Locality in De Kalb County, northwest Georgia. It is located 6 km/4 mi northeast of Atlanta city centre, and is home to Emory University (1836) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Community in Washington County, southwest Virginia; population (1990) with neighbouring Meadowview 2,200. It is located 13 km/8 mi northeast of Abingdon, in a rural valley near the Middle Branch of the Holston River. It is home to Emory and Henry College (1838).
