Emsdetten

Town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, near the River Ems, 30 km/19 mi southwest of Osnabrück; population (1994) 33,400. It is a centre for the manufacture of textiles. Emsdetten was formerly in the Prussian province of Westphalia.
