Those lessons should inform what we create today; certain buildings (for example Germany's Federal Environment Agency headquarters in Dessau, AR July 2005) can become exemplars of what we should expect, albeit in dilute form, from any significant new building or collection of buildings. We sought information from the Environment Agency to identify new landfill sites in Wales opening from 1985 and licensed to accept commercial, industrial, and household waste; the dates on which they became operational; details of the site capacity; and types of waste accepted as described by the categories of the National Waste Classification Scheme 1999 (Environment Agency 1999). Amicone announced that the National Brownfield Association has named the Larkin Center, home of the Riverfront Library and Yonkers Board of Education, as a 2004 Phoenix Award recipient in the Federal Environment Agency, Region 2. |
