Epsilon Aurigae

Eclipsing binary star in the constellation Auriga. One of the pair is an ‘ordinary’ star, but the other seems to be an enormous distended object whose exact nature remains unknown. The period (time between eclipses) is 27 years, the longest of its kind. The last eclipse was in 1982–84.

Epsilon Aurigae is a bright star that can be seen with the unaided eye even in bright urban areas of the Northern Hemisphere from fall to spring.
Designated Epsilon Aurigae and located over 2,000 light years distant, it is sometimes referred to by its Arabic name Almaaz, the He-Goat.
But among these the system called Epsilon Aurigae is quite unusual.
