Epworth

Village in North Lincolnshire, England, 16 km/10 mi northwest of Gainsborough; population (2001) 3,700. It was the birthplace, in 1703, of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.

Epworth

Town in Dubuque County, northeast Iowa; population (1996 est) 1,400. It is located 26 km/16 mi southwest of Dubuque. Epworth is home to Divine Word College (1912), a Catholic seminary which trains men as missionary brothers and priests.
