equilibriumIn physics, an unchanging condition in which an undisturbed system can remain indefinitely in a state of balance. In a static equilibrium, such as an object resting on the floor, there is no motion. In a dynamic equilibrium, in contrast, a steady state is maintained by constant, though opposing, changes. For example, in a sealed bottle half-full of water, the constancy of the water level is a result of molecules evaporating from the surface and condensing on to it at the same rate. several factors like temperature or composition could alter the equilibration time. Further research should aim to refine and optimize the criteria for the magnitude and duration of sound energy required to reflect ET opening to provide reliable measures of successful middle ear equilibration. Effects of wind shadow in traditional horizontal airflow spiral ovens may be mitigated by the use of a temperature "equilibration" zone, but in the absence of sufficient zone separation, an equilibration zone offers no advantage, especially when fully loaded and deep in a cooking cycle. |
