Erös, Peter (1936- )

Hungarian conductor. After studying at the Franz Liszt Academy and with Zoltan Kodaly, he assisted Fricsay at the Holland Festival, 1958-61. He was associate conductor of the Concertgebouw Orchestra 1960-65, and musical director of the Malmo Symphony Orchestra 1966-68, and the San Diego Symphony Orchestra 1972-80. He worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commission 1975-79 and led the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore, in 1982. He was appointed musical director of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in 1983.
