Erös, Peter (1936– )

Hungarian conductor. After studying at the Franz Liszt Academy and with Zoltan Kodaly, he assisted Fricsay at the Holland Festival, 1958–61. He was associate conductor of the Concertgebouw Orchestra 1960–65, and musical director of the Malmo Symphony Orchestra 1966–68, and the San Diego Symphony Orchestra 1972–80. He worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commission 1975–79 and led the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore, in 1982. He was appointed musical director of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in 1983.
