| In conjunction with the 400th anniversary of Rembrandt's birth in 2006, Rembrandt And His Time: Masterworks From The Albertina, Vienna is the companion book to the Milwaukee Art Museum's exhibition of twenty-seven of Rembrandt's most important works, as well as drawings by Roelant Savery, David Vinckboons, Jacques de Gheyn II, Hendrick Avercamp, Jan van Goyen, and Esaias van de Velde which offer some of the earliest examples of naturalism. The most innovative proponents of the rustic landscape, and this is no surprise, are the great Haarlem printmakers of the first quarter of the seventeenth century: Claes Jansz Visscher first and foremost, but also Willem Buytewech and the cousins Esaias and Jan II van de Velde. Brothers David Esaias and Jeff Esaias, of Clarinda, Iowa, claim their newly patented Tractor Tire Cleat Cover will save wear on tractor tires. |
