Esmeralda

Opera by Fabio Campana (1815–1882) (libretto by G T Cimino, based on Victor Hugo's novel Notre-Dame de Paris), first produced in St Petersburg, Russia, on 30 December 1869.

It is also the title of an opera by Aleksandr Dargomizhsky (libretto by composer translated from Victor Hugo's libretto based on his Notre-Dame de Paris, and written for Louise Angélique Bertin [1805–1877] for her opera produced in Paris in 1836), first produced in Moscow, Russia, on 17 December 1847.
