Esquiline Hill

One of the seven hills of Rome. It was the site of Nero's Golden House and the later baths of Trajan.

The Es Hotel in Rome is up on the Esquiline Hill across the street from the southern flank of the magnificent Termini station--a quarter from which tourists normally wish to flee as soon as possible, even when they arrive by train.
He possessed numerous properties in Rome, including the Peretti Vigna on the Esquiline and a palace near San Lorenzo in Lucina.
Its towering columns and broad pavement transformed an earlier ancient street into a monumental passageway between the original Roman Forum and the thickly populated neighborhoods on the Esquiline Hill.
