Estcourt

Town in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, 150 km/93 mi northwest of Durban, and situated at an altitude of 1,168 m/3,832 ft; population (district, 1991) 49,500. The main products are bacon, processed meats, cheese, and wood pulp. The area is a major producer of milk and maize, and is also noted for stock raising.
