Estes, Richard (1936- )

US painter. He became a member of the super realists, who focused on industrial landscapes and a photographic approach to art. Eerie street scenes, such as those depicted in Victory Theatre (1968) and Canadian Club (1974), are typical of his work.

He was born in Evanston, Illinois and he studied at the Art Institute of Chicago.
