Estoril

Resort on the coast 20 km/13 mi west of Lisbon, Portugal; population (1991) 24,800. There is a Grand Prix motor-racing circuit here.

The coastline west of Lisbon - the Costa do Estoril - boasts many great beaches, fine golf courses, lively seaside resorts and pretty mountain villages.
Byline: Dylan Hill A QUALITY field has assembled for the Estoril Open, which starts today, but the order of play wasn't available last night and, with the draw having only just been made, bookmakers were yet to issue any outright prices.
It's unlikely the twin Portuguese fishing towns of Estoril and Cascais will spring to mind, but with budget flights to Lisbon from John Lennon Airport perhaps it's time to reconsider.
