| Greek vase painter of the Attic School, one of those who introduced the red-figured style, a new form of figure drawing, more advanced in anatomy and foreshortening. Many of his works survive. The bowl showing Herakles and Antaeos wrestling (Louvre) signed by him is a notable example. |
