Eutaw Springs

Locality on Eutaw Creek, a tributary of the Santee River, near Lake Marion in Orangeburg County, southeast South Carolina. It is located 72 km/45 mi north-northwest of Charleston, and was the scene of the last important Revolutionary War battle in South Carolina. The British were victorious here on 8 September 1781. It is now the site of the modern mill town of Eutawville; population (1990) 350.
