Evenki

Member of a Tungus-speaking people scattered over a vast area of Siberia, from the River Yenisey to the Sea of Okhotsk. In the north they are seminomadic and engage in fur trapping, fishing, and reindeer breeding, as well as hunting elks; further south they farm, hunt, and raise horses and cattle. They practise shamanism.
