Exner, John E, Jr (1928– )

US psychologist. He taught psychology at various institutions and directed the Rorschach Workshops, Asheville, North Carolina (1969). His Rorschach (1978, later revised) established standard postulates for use in interpreting the widely used Rorschach test.

He was born in Syracuse, New York, gained a PhD from Cornell University and taught psychology at Long Island University (1969–84).
