Fabrizi, Vincenzo (1764–after 1812)

Italian composer. He had written 14 operas by the time he was 24; many of them were short comic pieces, performed all over Italy. His Il convitato di pietra (Don Giovanni Tenorio) was premiered in Rome in 1787, the same year as Mozart's Don Giovanni was given in Prague, and rivalled the success of Mozart's work for several years.
