Factoryville

Town in Wyoming County, northeast Pennsylvania; population (1990) 1,300. It is located 19 km/12 mi north-northeast of Scranton. It was named for a long-defunct cotton mill. Factoryville is the birthplace of baseball great Christy Mathewson (1878-1925).
