Fairhead Head

Promontory on the north coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland; height 191 m/626 ft. It is made of columnar basalt rock. Situated 10 km/6 mi northeast of Ballycastle, it has a view of the Scottish islands across the North Channel. On the top of the promontory is Lough na Cranagh, which has a crannog (Celtic lake dwelling).
