Fang

West African people living in the rainforests of Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and northwestern Gabon, numbering about 2.5 million. The Fang language belongs to the Bantu branch of the Niger-Congo family.

In the colonial period the Fang were involved in trading, and used coins made of copper and iron. They now live by farming, as well as by hunting and fishing.
