Farjeon, Herbert (1887–1945)

English dramatist and critic. His light plays include Friends (1917) and Many Happy Returns (1928); he also wrote (in collaboration with his sister Eleanor Farjeon) the musical plays The Two Bouquets (1936) and The Glass Slipper (1944). He wrote and directed sketches for revues and was drama critic for several papers.

He edited the Nonesuch edition of Shakespeare (1929) and a volume of his criticism of production was published as The Shakespeare Scene (1949).
