Farmer, Frances (1913–1970)

US actor. She starred in such films as Come and Get It (1936), The Toast of New York (1937), and Son of Fury (1942).

Her career was ended by alcoholism and mental illness. her autobiography, Will There Really Be a Morning?, was published 1972 and filmed as a television movie 1983. A feature-film biopic, Frances, starring Jessica Lange, was released 1982.
