Farren, Elizabeth (c. 1759–1829)

English actor. She appeared at the Haymarket and Drury Lane theatres, London, in such roles as Miss Hardcastle in Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops to Conquer and Lady Teazle in Richard Sheridan's The School for Scandal.

She made her first appearance in London at the Haymarket in 1777, and retired in 1797 to marry the 12th Earl of Derby.
